The Sommerfeld Junior Raised Panel Bit relies on the same great feature as its parent by utilizing a back-cutter to accurately machine the 5/32” tongue in one pass. The big advantage, aside from speed, is that both faces of the panel will then be flush with the rails and stiles (when each is machined from the same thickness) for easy sanding and a uniform look. The 2-1/2” diameter cutter is very easy to control when working on the small pieces but please take the recommended safety precautions. See page 11 for the Sommerfeld Junior Raised Panel Set.
